Our most popular tour. So scenic!
Explore the inner harbour, ride out on the wharf and observe the oyster farm at McGregor’s Bay. Cruise on to beautiful Long Bay and Tucks Beach. Pause for an ice cream on the beach or pre-order fish n chips from Coromandel Takeways for a lunch stop. Lock up the bike and enjoy the short walk to view a 330 year old Kauri tree located in an established stand of native bush. Return via spectacular Wyuna Bay for that bit of something extra.
Have you come to town on the bus or the ferry and need some wheels? An electric bike is just what you need to help get you around.
Ride through our quaint colonial town via Kapanga Road and Rings Road on your way to one of the town’s more popular destinations, Driving Creek Railway and Potteries. Check out some of our Heritage Treasures or Art Studios along the way, something our town is now renowned for.
Bike the Coromandel Coastal Walkway - The Last Frontier
Departs Coromandel Town on an anti-clockwise loop around the Peninsula. Experience the unique beauty of our regenerating native bush, the rugged eastern coastline and the white spreading sands of Waikawau Beach. Enjoy your night’s stay at a fully catered retreat renown for the dusk and dawn callings of our native Kiwi Bird. Add in a massage or a spa under the morepork grove to completely immerse yourself in the surroundings.
Head south first as you wing your way towards the airport. Stop off at the Garden Centre or one of our Art Studios along the way. Turn left onto the famous 309 Road as you head into some of our beautiful native bush and established pine forests, home to the ever popular Waterworks theme park.
Consider a slightly longer trip to experience the spectacular Waiau Kauri Grove and Waterfall or maybe even journey through the forest to our iconic Castle Rock.
Not only can you see this iconic rocky outcrop towering over Coromandel but you can now get to it too. Head South from town and take the 309 Road. Exit left just past the Waterworks onto Castle Rock Road. Experience the peace and quiet as you ride through an established pine plantation onwards to your destination.
This tour now has it all! Ride out through exclusive bush, forest and farm tracks with expansive views from east to west. Spend the day in Colville, a small, peaceful town with some great stories from times past. Return via Colville Road passing through some beautiful, tranquil seaside locations or stay the night and soak up some more of this chilled out location.
Take one day or maybe even two. This Tour would make an ideal Team Building Option with a one night stay in Colville. Contact us for details.
