Bush e Bikes is a bike hire and cycle tour business run by Gavin and Leanne Jeffcoat, located in Coromandel Town. In a new and exciting move, we are pleased to announce we have purchased Coromandel Discovery, a bespoke touring business which specialises in minibus tours to the Coromandel Coastal Walkway. Between the two businesses we can help you explore our beautiful backyard and leave knowing you haven't left a stone unturned.
Our fleet of quality electric bikes offers a range of approx 45-60 kilometres (per battery) so you can visit many of the awesome sights on offer, with much less effort than a standard bike. However if you prefer a bit more exertion, we have added ten quality Avanti Competitor mountain bikes to our fleet.
From hourly bike hire, to single day and multi day tours we are here to cater for your every need. See us for bike repairs and spare parts and we can help out with bike transport throughout the Coromandel and Beyond. We also stock a small range of the very popular Magnum electric bikes for sale. Our most popular tour. So scenic!
Explore the inner harbour, ride out on the wharf and observe the oyster farm at McGregor’s Bay. Cruise on to beautiful Long Bay and Tucks Beach. Pause for an ice cream on the beach or pre-order fish n chips from Coromandel Takeways for a lunch stop. Lock up the bike and enjoy the short walk to view a 330 year old Kauri tree located in an established stand of native bush. Return via spectacular Wyuna Bay for that bit of something extra.
Bike the Coromandel Coastal Walkway - The Last Frontier
Day One departs from Coromandel on an anti-clockwise journey around the Peninsula. Experience the unique beauty of our regenerating native bush, the rugged eastern coastline and the white spreading sands of Waikawau Beach. Day Two is just as amazing as you round the Peninsula via the Coastal Walkway, a spectacular route used by generations from days gone by.
Wind your way down the impressive coast towards Coromandel on Day Three for expansive gulf views whilst visiting isolated rural villages and secluded beaches along the way.
This tour now has it all! Ride out through exclusive bush, forest and farm tracks with expansive views from east to west. Spend the day in Colville, a small, peaceful town with some great stories from time's past. Return via Colville Road passing through some beautiful, tranquil seaside locations or stay the night and soak up some more of this chilled out spot.
We provide a Guide to take you safely through the first section of remote bush track, pine forest and exclusive farmland. You can then explore Colville and its sights at your leisure.
